2 - Rewriting the HSPF Water Balance for Risk Analysis
---------------------------------------
The water balance module of the Hydrological Simulation
Program- FORTRAN (HSPF) has become a standard conceptual
model for predicting streamflows in ungaged catchments.
It still lacks the ability to probabilistically model a
catchment and examine its many uncertain input parameters’
effects on the runoff response.
The GoldSim version of the HSPF water balance is a good
choice for probabilistic runoff modeling and the model
is publicly available on the GoldSim modellibrary website.
