The first analytical results for the Mamora aquifer groundwater are
presented. The data show a global mineralization which is characterized
by a variable electrical conductivity (between 595 and 2930 mS/cm). The
spatial distribution of conductivity allows a partition of the groundwater
into three zones where mineralization is important. The correlation between
chemical parameters and the electrical conductivity is generally good,
and shows the probability of salt water intrusion.
